Happy Birthday, Lindsey!!

So today is my sister's Sweet Sixteen!

I'm kind of sad that I can't be there it, but I'm sure she doesn't really care. LoL. When you're 16, you don't care about much. It's amazing to look at her and then think of myself at 16. My 16th birthday was spent in Ohio... I'd just won the Colgate Country Showdown for Ohio State and won $1,000. Sounds exciting right? So, my family and I celebrated at some Mexican restraurant. I'd missed my highschool's Homecoming Dance, WHICH, happened to me the next year too. But at that time, I was so occupied with singing, I didn't care about giving up anything socially. Now I think about it, and I hate giving up social things NOW and music is my livelihood. Is that weird? Yeah, it kinda is. Ha.

My sister is so much cooler than me. LoL. And DEFINETELY a helluva lot cooler than I was at 16 years old. It's crrraaaaaazy! However, she dated a sleaze-bag for wayyy too long that just broke her heart AGAIN. (Don't I know how that goes...) I swear, I wish I lived in MI sometimes, because I'd castrate that S.O.B. I really would.

Tomorrow's my Granny's b-day! Man, I miss it all. I won't be with my family on my birthday in a few weeks or my other little sister's birthday which is a few days after mine. Oh well, they'll forgive me.

I find myself wanting to go back to Michigan a lot. Which, is not good. B/c my life is here. But I had a really good trip last week (yes, I've only been back in Nashville for a week). I miss Erika. I miss Ryan. I miss being on the go and out til all hours of the night. LoL.

Oh well.

BTW, the showcase last night KICKED ASS! Seriously! Like I said before, it was a totally different show and it came off FLAWLESSLY! The flow of the set, the band, the interaction with the audience. It was sooooo fun! Sony was there and the guy stayed to talk to me afterward, so, I'm pretty sure that's a good sign, right? The weather was awful, so we didn't get all the label people we wanted out this time around. So I think we are gonna do another showcase in town on Sept. 20th~!
